What we do
Our service is focused on accurate advice, delivered by the right people and at the right time. We are a general practice accounting firm, which is to say that we cover accounting and tax for small and medium sized businesses and individuals. Our tax planning is targeted at the short to medium term and our tax focus is on income and gains. Where clients need a service that we don’t specialise in, we are always happy to involve a specialist and we know many of them.
Our Services
Accounting
Preparation of your accounts based on your in-year figures. We look after clients of all sizes, from unincorporated businesses to those reporting under micro and small company rules.
Bookkeeping
Proper bookkeeping is something that is hard to find. We are proud that the work we do is efficient, of an excellent quality and gives useful information to those who need it.
Business tax
As a secondary task to producing accounts, comes business tax. Whether unincorporated or incorporated, we ensure all tax filing requirements are met.
Personal tax
Every year, those with income that hasn’t been taxed at source, should report their income on a self assessment tax return. Our specialist tax team looks after these, ensuring that every client has the most advantageous position in respect of their tax planning, as possible.
VAT
Now Making Tax Digital for VAT is in place, this is a more serious affair (in terms of filing) than it once was. We can assist in preparing your returns, checking and filing them or simply advising you on VAT if you look after it yourself.
Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)
This is a new accreditation that we are pleased to have. It means that we are able to look after companies and their stakeholders in accordance with the relevant laws.
Company secretarial
If you have a company, you have duties to keep your statutory books up to date, as well as maintain a PSC register. We can look after all of this for you as part of our Company Secretarial services.
Payroll
Running a payroll scheme is something that these days, must be done properly to avoid penalties. Reporting is important and deadlines are short, so this is an area that is best looked after by Jarvis & Co.
Registered office
If you’d like to have the eyes of the public on an address that isn’t your own, you’re welcome to use one of our addresses. We offer a post forwarding service to make this even more useful for you.
